The hash tag “DampareMustGo” is currently trending on Twitter as Ghanaians are calling for the removal of Inspector General of Police (IGP) George Akuffo Dampare.
The #DampareMustGo campaign started following the recent clash of the youth of Nkoranza with the police over the killing of a young man whom the police claim is an armed robber.

According to the campaigners, the IGP performed a nine-day miracle before being confirmed by the President.
They feel he is inept and should be fired as quickly as possible so that a competent person can take over the Police Department.

The activists, who largely use Twitter, mentioned various incidences that occurred while he was in charge and decided that the police would be useless with him in charge.
