Controversial socialite, Abena Korkor, has recounted how she wanted to stand as the first female president of the Student Representative Council of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) before she suffered from an episode of bipolar.
According to Abena Korkor, the bipolar manic episode she suffered restricted her from pursuing her goal of becoming the first female SRC president of the institution.
She stated that; “I was going for president. I was going to be the first female president of UCC campus. I have a bipolar manic episode and it was the first time it manifested.”
Korkor went on to say that she traveled to America for an exchange problem and that she suffered from sleeplessness as a result of which she woke everyone up by cleaning every area of the room at daybreak.
“Looking back in 2008, I was in the US for an exchange program but I was having insomnia, so I woke up at dawn to clean the entire house and I was leaving with some white people of mine and I would be disturbing everyone, so my bipolar started a long time ago but it manifested in 2015,” she added.
She disclosed this while speaking in an interview with the lifestyle and celebrity blogger, Zionfelix.
