On Monday afternoon, a group of armed men stormed the UPP’s Ashanti regional headquarters, shooting and smashing the vehicles that belonged to the party’s founder, Akwasi Addai, also known as Odike.
The event allegedly took place in the vicinity of the Kumasi Police Training School in Patase, a suburb of Kumasi, in the late afternoon.
The armed guys are also accused of assaulting the office’s personnel.
Banishment
A well-known businessman in Kumasi named Mr. Addai allegedly accused Manhyia of being complicit in illicit mining and the destruction of the nation’s water and forest resources last week.
