The Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has donated GHC 20,000 to the kind-hearted taxi driver who returned the lost money to the owner.

It was reported earlier today that a kind-hearted taxi driver in Accra, Akwesi Akrong, had returned over GHS8,000 he found in his car to the rightful owner.

The 37-year-old man, who has been a taxi driver for seven years, picked up a woman from Malata market to Teshie last night.

After a hard day’s work, he found a package in the back seat of his taxi and discovered that it contained money.

After having a discussion with his wife, he returned the money to the woman today.

In a video sighted, about three women, including the victim, embraced the taxi driver while thanking him. “We thank you, God,” one said.
