American Actor and Comedian, Will Smith has finally addressed his controversial slap of comedian Chris Rock at the Oscars in March
In a video posted on his YouTube, Smith expresses his intense remorse for the incident and apologizes to several key figures who he says were hurt by his actions.
He explained that he didn’t go ballistic because Jada Pinkett Smith rolled her eyes at Rock’s joke as Will Smith claims he did the unthinkable because he felt the joke was insulting and disrespectful.
Will Smith also revealed that he and Chris Rock had a history and clearly not in a good way.
He further said he has suffered trauma primarily for disappointing his fans and others.
“I didn’t live up to people’s image and impression of me” Remorseful Will Smith disclosed.
However,he disclosed that he didn’t apologize to Chris Rock because when he reached out to he showed clearly he wasn’t ready to talk to him but he apologized in the video.
“I am human and I made a mistake and I’m trying not to think of myself as a piece of s***t.”
