Kissi Agyebeng, the special prosecutor, has stated that his office has expanded the investigations into the Labianca Foods case to include advance customs judgments and markdowns of benchmark prices.
The Office of the Special Prosecutor revealed last week that it had recovered almost GHC1 million in unpaid import duties from Eunice Jacqueline Buah Asomah-Labianca Hinneh’s Foods.
The sum is what the company that makes frozen goods owes the state for import tariffs that were not paid.
Agyebeng said in a statement that he had written to the Commissioner-General of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) to request that he also submit an integrity strategy to fight corruption.
